If you’ve tried pay-per-click (PPC), you’ve undoubtedly found it will cost a lot. To get top position for your key term you more than likely have to pay a mighty penny for each click. I have found this to be true specifially if it is a sought after term that every advertiser for a certain product wants.

PPC does work, but it can be brutal. Either writing about your products or sending people to your site works. I know this for a fact, because that is the only way I advertise. If you’re an affiliate marketer, article marketing is the sure way to get you some commissions coming your way.

You undoubtedly know information about your product that can help make a consumer interested in buying the product or at least finding out more about it. Your job is to put that knowledge into written form and submit it to one of the many article directories online. A short bio about you that you also write, which includes a link to your web site should be included in your submission.

If it meets the standard of the directory, which isn’t hard if you follow their guidelines, they will publish it and people interested in your subject will read what you’ve written. They will then follow your link to read more about what you have to offer and possibly eventually buy from you or your link if you are promoting for someone else.

I say possibly because I certainly can’t guarantee they will buy, but you have just as much opportunity at getting the sale this way as with PPC. I my opinion it is even a better way. And the best thing about article marketing is the free part. It’s free to submit to the majority of these articles directories.

I don’t pay a cent for any of my submission, but I make sales every month from the traffic that visits my site via my articles. I save a great deal of money on advertising and I make commissions just the same.

I take my savings and spend just a fraction of it on a program for on-going training and motivation that keeps me abreast of all I need to know about doing business this way. This gives me more time to spend writing good educational content about the products I promote, so I can sale more and get bigger commission checks.
